Mary Katherine Hall is an Alpha Delta Pi senior finance major from Columbia, SC and has served as UGA Miracle’s Finance Director for the past year, overseeing both the Fundraising and Business Relations executive board positions. Over the last year, MK has served as the primary manager of the finances of the organization, specifically Dance Marathon, where she spent 24 hours in the “finance room” tracking, counting, and managing the finances of the event. She played a huge roll in deciding the most influential and powerful fundraising times during Dance Marathon.
As many of you know, UGA Miracle set a goal of raising $1 million this year by the end of Dance Marathon, but by fundraising a record-breaking $1,068,358.16, this year exceeded that goal. Mary Katherine stated, “Fun Fact, the finance director is the only person in the whole organization that knows the fundraising total throughout the year.”
The ADPi senior said that watching the rest of the executive board see the final total at the end of Dance Marathon was the most rewarding part of the event, and is a memory that she will never forget.
“I’d have to say that the most important life lesson I’ve gained throughout my four years as a part of UGA Miracle has been the power of love,” stated MK. She is forever grateful for being a part of such a passionate organization united for a commom cause.
Mary Katherine has also served as the Recruitment and Marketing Vice President for ADPi and is involved in the Institute of Leadership Advancement and the Student Managed Investment Fund within Terry College of Business, two organizations that have taught her “financial and leadership knowledge, alongside UGA Miracle.” Upon graduation, Mary Katherine plans to work for a real estate investment bank she has previously interned for called Eastdil Secured, where she will be working as a financial analyst. She is excited to be returning to the company full time. Mary Katherine, ADPi loves you and we are so excited to see all that you accomplish in the future!
