Last Wednesday, September 7th, Alpha Gamma Delta hosted their fifth annual fall philanthropy event, Mr. Milledge. Mr. Milledge is fraternity pageant where participants compete in three different rounds: Best Gameday Outfit, Best Pick-Up Line, and Talent. Highlights from the rounds included an electric guitar performance of a Kanye West song, an acoustic guitar performance of a John Mayer song, and a live painting memorializing Harambe- that was done by this year’s winner, Jake Nagy of Delta Sigma Phi.
Megan Greene, Alpha Gamma Delta’s philanthropy coordinator, had this to say about the event, “The competition was tough and hilarious this year, ranging from musical talent to Harambe jokes. We raised $7,115 at the event, and we are donating all of the proceeds to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation for diabetes research and education. This year's event was the most highly attended and the most successful event that we have hosted over the past few years. I am incredibly thankful for everyone who helped: the Georgia Theatre staff, our judges, the contestants, and all attendees.”
Alpha Gamma Delta is so proud of Megan and so thankful to everyone who came out and supported Mr. Milledge!
