Kappa Alpha Theta: Senior Spotlight

Amy Jones is a senior Kappa Alpha Theta from Atlanta, Georgia. She is majoring in Marketing and International Business. This year, Amy was chosen to serve as the 2016-2017 Executive Director of UGA Miracle! UGA Miracle is an entirely student-run organization that raises money and awareness for The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, specifically working with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. UGA Miracle is one of, if not the, biggest organizations on campus at the University of Georgia. This past year it had over 2,500 members and raised $1,068,358.16 for CHOA. Amy said that they hope to surpass both of those numbers in the year to come. This only goes to prove what a serious accomplishment this was for Amy to be chosen as the ED for the whole organization. Amy is very passionate about UGA Miracle and loves being able to make a difference in children’s lives that have been affected by illness. She has to put in an unimaginable amount of time and effort to UGA Miracle, but says that it is all worth it when she sees the impact this organization has on the patients of CHOA and their families. Kappa Alpha Theta could not be more proud of Amy and the work she is doing through UGA Miracle!
