Alpha Gam Ambition

Jacquelyn Harms is a junior member of Alpha Gamma Delta from Camas, Washington, majoring in Political Science and International Affairs. Although Jacquelyn is not even halfway through her junior year, her resume displays an unbelievable amount of experience in many different areas of the UGA community. Jacquelyn represents UGA, as well as her college, by serving as an ambassador for the School of Public and International Affairs, in addition to having been a Roosevelt scholar last year. She also serves as a justice for University Judiciary and is a member of Moot court, a mock supreme court. By participating in these organizations, Jacquelyn is gaining experience to either go to law school or to attend a program to become a policy writer after she graduates. Although she is extremely passionate about politics, Jacquelyn says her most gratifying roles are being a Dawg Camp counselor and an advisor for Freshman Forum. “It’s a really wonderful way to give back to the university and to first year students,” Jacquelyn said. Something Jacquelyn strives for is the opportunity to give back not only to UGA, but also the Athens community. Jacquelyn’s drive and her passion for service are incredible, and Alpha Gamma Delta is so proud of her!
