Pi Phi Phriendships

When asked what Pi Beta Phi value means the most to them, a Georgia Alpha is most likely to answer “Sincere Friendship”. To a Georgia Alpha, sincere friendship means encouraging each other, loving each other, and sharing one-of-a-kind experiences with each other. If you had the opportunity to take a trip abroad, you would want to take it with your closest friends, and for the women of Pi Beta Phi, those friends are also their sisters.

This summer three Georgia Alpha angels studied abroad in Europe together. When asked about her time abroad, Mary Gray Danielsen (Pledge Class of 2015) says, “Traveling with my sisters has been an amazing experience! It has been so nice to be able to go abroad and experience new cultures with people I love and know that I can count on. They are my little piece of home away from home. We ate pasta in Italy, hiked the Swiss Alps, and danced the night away in Budapest. I am so grateful to be a Pi Phi and have such amazing friends that I get to experience these things with.” Like Mary Gray Danielsen said, traveling with sisters has been a memorable experience for her. It is a great way to strengthen friendships and make lifetime memories.

Sincere friendship is a value that GA Alpha as a chapter holds very close to our hearts. Though most of our members have not had the opportunity to travel the world together, they have been counting down the days until they are back in the Classic City. A summer spent apart only makes the thought of rekindling the sincere friendships made over the past years more and more exciting. As the countdown to Bid Day comes to single digits, Pi Beta Phi’s members are eager to meet the new member class of 2017. When you join Georgia Alpha you are guaranteed 270+ sincere friendships, and that’s an offer too good to pass up!
