Alpha Omicron Pi Takes on Community

Alpha Omicron Pi is privileged to have amazing well rounded girls such as junior Kaitlyn Frame. SOUL is an organization at UGA that focuses on hands on serving in the Athens community. “Our goal as an organization is to be bold and to shine God’s light throughout Athens. We have worked with Thomas Lay, Athens PB&J, Arbor Terrace, Sparrows Nest, and throughout campus and downtown Athens to serve and love on those we come into contact with,” says Kaitlyn. SOUL has grown to over 150 registered members this semester which has Kaitlyn quite excited. Many students have such big hearts and need a means to serve and SOUL is that outlet for many people.

Kaitlyn, along with other teammates, has said that "seeing how the Lord has worked through our executive team and throughout our members in the community has been incredible.” SOUL has positively impacted so many people already, and she is so excited to see where the Lord takes the club. Overall, SOUL was started because Athens can be such a dark community and she took the initiative to change that. Kaitlyn and her team wanted to be a light and gather people with similar passions and hearts to serve and give. Kaitlyn’s organization has grown so much this semester due to social media and communication skills. Because of Kaitlyn’s amazing accomplishments, she was able to talk about it during her recruitment process which was a great way to show new members an amazing quality of the Greek Life chapters here at UGA.
