Kappas at the sea
Over the course of the past three semesters Kappa Kappa Gamma’s have been traveling far and wide. Some even traveling to over 10 countries and 23 cities in the course of a semester.
Imagine doing all this while living on a ship. Can you say Suite Life on Deck?
Well that is what many of our girls have been choosing to do with their semester abroad. Semester at Sea gives students an opportunity of a lifetime. Girls have gone from Hawaii to Japan, Vietnam to Belgium, and everywhere in-between. Our women have said that while they love being in Athens, spending time abroad has been one of the most influential times during their college career. During their time at sea, participants are able to take classes for college credit but also take time
to explore while at a port of call. During their stay at a port, participants can take one of two routes. Either partake in pre planned, Semester at Sea sponsored trips, or arrange your own independent travel. Past SAS’ers have said that they believe a mix of these options is the best way to go. While living on a boat for 7 months might not be the best option for all students, the voyage is without a doubt an experience, if you have the opportunity, to never pass up.
