What is Panhellenic

With recruitment right around the corner there are a lot of questions many potential new members have. We are going to tackle as many of those questions as we can, along with give advice and tips about recruitment.

The first question many people have is simply just "What is Panhellenic?." At the very top, we have the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). This is the overarching body for all 26 national sororities. UGA Panhellenic is proud to have 19 out of the 26 sororities on our campus. The UGA Panhellenic council is composed of two women from each of the 19 sororities and is lead by 7 executive members and one advisor. You can learn about the council and its executive board in the tab "The Panhellenic Council."

The 19 Panhellenic sororities at UGA are: Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Delta Phi Epsilon, Delta Zeta, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Mu, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Delta Tau, Sigma Kappa, and Zeta Tau Alpha.

UGA Panhellenic is excited to host recruitment this upcoming August where hundreds of women will participate in a weeklong process to search for their home away from home.
