Philanthropy with Pi Beta Phi!

Check out all the philanthropy Pi Beta Phi has been doing this year:

The Georgia Alpha chapter of Pi Beta Phi started off the year in the best way possible - donating over 1000 books to be distributed to the local, Athens community! In the fall, they hosted their annual “Books for Brittany” book drive in honor of our late sister Brittany Feldman. Given the unusual circumstances of the past year, the chapter was excited to be able to continue one of their most cherished traditions and give back to the community that has given us so much. Aside from that, their members are still actively involved in their community in organizations such as UGA Food2Kids, UGA Miracle, and many more. We’re so proud to see their commitment to service and philanthropy despite being as busy as ever!

One thing that Pi Phi is looking forward to is starting a virtual mentorship program between their members and the students at the local elementary school that they have been working with for years. They also have plans to implement a mentorship program between seniors and GA Alpha alums to help with professional development and to promote a lifelong commitment to Pi Phi after graduation. Additionally, the in-house girls have been hosting virtual movie nights every Sunday and the occasional game night so that they can still have fun and bond with each other while being as safe as possible!

They also successfully hosted their spring philanthropy event called Picnic with Pi Phi. Members of the Athens community were able to go to the Pi Beta Phi lawn and pick up a to-go charcuterie board. All proceeds went to their national philanthropy event Lead>Read>Achieve. They were overwhelmed with all the support from the Panhellenic and Athens Community. Pi Phis are looking forward to the Fall semester and cannot wait to get more involved in the local community!
