Running for Keeps

Kappa Kappa Gamma hosted their 3rd annual 5K Color Run on February 27th. The women are excited to announce that they surpassed their goal and raised almost $10,000!! Kappa's philanthropy, Books for Keeps, serves Athens area kids by providing books to underprivileged families who cannot afford books over the summer. At the end of each school year, kids are sent home with books, in an effort to keep their brains fresh in the summer months, even if they can’t afford it themselves. Kappa Kappa Gamma's philanthropy chairs, Sarah Schaefer and Kaki Spencer, pictured below, did such an awesome job planning this event and we are so proud of them! They are now busy working to plan another philanthropy event, the annual Crawfish Boil! It will be on Kappa’s front lawn on April 28th and they would love to see everyone there!!
