Taking a Bite of the Big Apple

Krizia Livia, member of Alpha Omicron Pi, is currently stomping the city grounds as a summer intern in New York City. This eight-week long internship resides in the center of New York City, just a 1-stop subway ride away from her apartment, and has an overlooking view of the breath-taking Bryant Park. After a busy day of work filled with running around the city and office to complete daily tasks, afternoons are filled with great explorations of the nearby neighborhoods like the West Village and Greenwich Village. A city-life mentality was crucial for her to settle in, get focused on her career, and to have fun! She has immersed herself in the fast pace lifestyle, the skyscrapers, and the crowds of people that fill this amazing city. This experience has also allowed for Krizia to introduce herself to countless students from all different schools, states, and even countries. Krizia said “New York is the most incredible city, from its views to its people. Yes, it did take me a few times of getting lost on the subway to figure out my way around, but once I had my directions straight, I realized the endless journeys and possibilities this city has.” Not only does her internship provide her with invaluable experience to further her career goals, but the city life provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to network and make lifelong memories.
