Senior Standout
The goal of any college student is to form meaningful relationships and numerous connections during their four years in higher education. To be thought highly of by a faculty or staff member, so much as to be nominated for a prestigious award, is only the dream of most students. Delta Gamma senior Anna Beth Smith proved her ambition and desire for excellence when she was nominated as a UGA Amazing Student by Sharon Phinney, a previous Experiential Learning Ambassador Coordinator for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
The Public Affairs News Service, who publishes the Amazing Student profiles, looks for well-rounded students whose accomplishments exist both inside and outside of the classroom. This can include outstanding academics, community service, leadership positons, overcoming obstacles, etc. The program recognizes fifteen students per semester, one per week.
Anna Beth stated, “I am absolutely honored to have been selected! My time at UGA has been both an exciting and enriching experience and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Go Dawgs!” Delta Gamma and the Panhellenic community admire Anna Beth’s positive representation of Greek life on campus and know she will be a light to all she meets in her future!
