Honorary Tri Delta

A fatal car accident last spring left the sisters of Delta Delta Delta mourning the loss of a sister, and even better friend, Halle Scott. Throughout the past year many of Halle’s close friends within Tri Delta have grown close to Halle’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Scott. At the beginning of the spring 2017 semester, Tri Delta decided to do something special for Halle’s mother. The chapter held a special initiation solely for Mrs. Scott, and she became an official member of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Delta Delta Delta at the University of Georgia!

One of Halle’s best friends was a member of Tri Delta at the University of South Carolina, and her mother also happened to be a Tri Delta. Therefore, when Mrs. Scott realized she needed someone to stand sponsor for her and to be her “Big,” she knew exactly who to call. It was a special night for every member in Tri Delta, and one the chapter truly will never forget.

This semester Tri Delta will also be giving away a scholarship in honor of Halle. Members from the sophomore pledge class are nominated and can subsequently apply for the scholarship. The sisters of Tri Delta are thankful that they are able to remember and honor Halle’s life through the initiation of her mother, and the scholarship in her name.
