The End of a Presidency

As this semester is coming to a close, chapters are currently holding elections for new officers and saying goodbye to old ones. Kappa Kappa Gamma's outgoing President, Lauren Fuller, to will certainly miss serving her chapter and the position that she has held these past two semesters.

Lauren held a few different roles within Kappa before she took on the ultimate task of Chapter President. She was a Panhellenic Delegate during her freshman year and Assistant Public Relations Chair during her sophomore year and into her junior year. As she approached the end of her term as Assistant PR chair, she realized that she wanted to hold a higher leadership position within Kappa because she wanted to be able to lead the girls she loved so much.

When asked what it meant to be President of Kappa, she said that it means being a responsible leader that people can depend on and lean on when they need to. As far as the challenges that she has faced during her term, Lauren says that the hardest part of this job has been learning to take a step back and trust that the Chapter Council members will get their own individual jobs done. Lauren’s favorite experience was getting to spend time with the entire chapter during recruitment this past August. Overall, she has loved how close she has gotten to each of the Chapter Council members and how involved she has felt within the chapter as a whole.

Lauren is currently majoring in Furnishings and Interiors and plans on working with a residential interior design firm after college for a few years. After that, she hopes to open her own firm. Kappa Kappa Gamma sure will miss her!
