Panhell Travels: Summer 2021

This summer Panhellenic women have been catching up on traveling and seeing new places. Keep reading to check out all the awesome places our women have been traveling to and the great experiences they have been having.

Alpha Gamma Delta’s Sydney McRae is spending the summer in Buena Vista, Colorado. She has the awesome opportunity to be working at Elk Mountain Ranch for the summer and having the coolest experiences . Sydney says, “I am having the best time exploring Colorado and getting to call it home for the summer. As the kids counselor, part of my job is feeding the baby goats, sheep, and cow every day. The opportunity to do tasks like this that I may never get to do again has been my favorite part of working on a ranch.”

Alpha Phi’s Jordyn Lohr, Kaitlyn Helmich, Katherine Bernet, and Abby Horton traveled to our nation’s capital - Washington, D.C. They visited one of their friends from out-of-state and were lucky enough to spend time in the place she calls home. They visited memorable places such as the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and World War II Memorial among other historical landmarks. It’s so nice that Panhellenic brings together women from all over the United States, and summer is the perfect time to visit your best friends!

Sigma Delta Tau’s Noa Grace Pollinger and Talia Chase traveled to Cabo San Lucas for some relaxation and fun this summer. They even got to celebrate Talia’s birthday while on vacation. What a great place to celebrate! They loved getting to spend time together each day at the beach or by the pool. The views they were able to take in, especially at sunset, were absolutely beautiful and one of their favorite highlights of the trip.

Chi Omega’s Annie Cowart did something on so many people’s bucket list - drive cross country! Annie drove cross country with her friends to Washington state to live with her sister for the summer. Annie says “It was, simply put, the dream.” We can only imagine how cool of an experience that has been!

Kappa Alpha Theta’s LG Blakely, Kaitlyn Sanderson, Christine Gakenheimer are spending the summer living in Hawaii - how incredible! They are getting to do their internships and other work while in and around Hawaii this summer. Kaitlyn is also working at a bathing suit store this summer. The girls all enjoy swimming and surfing in their free time and have enjoyed getting to experience anything and everything Hawaii has to offer!

Delta Gamma’s Jenna Hughes gets to spend the summer in Upstate New York. She is interning for the National Park Service at the Upper Delaware River Park in New York and Pennsylvania this summer. She gets to hike and canoe for work and really enjoys everything she gets to do for this job. Summer is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy nature so this sounds like such an amazing experience for Jenna!

Phi Mu Sullivan Kleinbub traveled to Costa Rica this summer. After a long year being home and dreaming of travel, this sounds like such an incredible experience with the most gorgeous views. Sullivan was able to take surf lessons, eat the yummiest local food and explore the coolest waterfalls. The views must have been incredible!

Sigma Kappa Erin Day traveled to Morro Bay, California this summer for a family vacation. Morro Bay is right on the coast of California! She traveled to the beach and got to spend some quality time with her family. I can’t think of a better way to spend your summer than traveling to the coolest places, going to the beach, and catching up with family after a year of being at school.
